BNS gives support to school teams

PRUDHOE High School’s girls’ hockey and netball teams are splendidly attired these days thanks to a donation from a local business.
Until recently, teams in different year groups wore different coloured T-shirts, and parents and teachers agreed the effect was far from impressive.
After being approached by the school, Prudhoe-based BNS Telecom agreed to donate £400 from the Community Foundation money it uses to support local causes.
This went towards fetching navy blue tops, featuring the school’s logo and a white trim, which were bought from another Prudhoe business, Salto UK.
PE teacher Gill Hudspith said: “We now go to games looking very smart and professional, and the results sometimes match the look!”
