Five face drugs charges

FIVE Tynedale men have been charged as part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing in Prudhoe by the Serious and Organised Crime Unit.
Police say a quantity of cocaine has been recovered in the town.
David Walton (39), of Park Lane, Prudhoe, has been remanded in custody, charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine.
Meanwhile, Mark MacKay (36) of Queen's Close, Acom;, Timothy Alsop (43) of North View, Mickley, Shaun Sharkey (28) of Tulip Street, Prudho;, and Sean Rutherford (28) of Ovington View, Prudhoe, have been charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and granted conditional bail.
Officers are continuing with their operation while a date is fixed for the men to appear before magistrates.
