Half-hearted pre-holiday blog
ALL RIGHT. I’ll level with you. I’m about to go off on holiday and, instead of upping my game to clear the decks, I’m restlessly watching the clock.
In a sense, you wasted your time by clicking on this link, as I’m only adding a blog to avoid a three week gap in my output.
But here’s a half-hearted stab at something... Despite working his little socks off, my handsome colleague Robert Gibson occasionally comes across people who don’t read the Hexham Courant as there’s “nothing about Prudhoe in it”.
I’ve checked this claim out and I’m pretty sure these people are wrong; in the past few weeks, in fact, Prudhoe has dominated the front pages.
So what’s it all about? Do you feel there’s sections of the community we aren’t giving sufficient space to?
Are there particular types of story you’d like to see more often?
Is there just a perception in Prudhoe that the Courant is Hexham-centric? And are we destined to face that allegation regardless of the reality?
Leave your comments below if you can be bothered. I might read them, if I can be bothered. But for now... bye, bye, we’ll chat in two weeks’ time.
