Town may host fair
Last updated at 16:42, Thursday, 14 February 2013
A FUNFAIR may be held at Prudhoe’s Highfield Park this summer.
A company that organises such events has approached Prudhoe Town Council about the possibility of setting one up there in July.
Town council staff have since gauged the views of Northumberland County Council and Gateshead Council, both of which have experience with funfairs, on everything from potential disruption to the state the land has been left in afterwards.
Council staff and members are now due to meet with the organisers to discuss possible conditions, should permission for the event be granted.
A report will then be submitted for discussion at a future town council meeting.
